The Singer model 7430 is a fully loaded, electronic machine with lots of possibilities. With 144 stitches your creativity can really be expressed. Some of the stitches include quilting and decorative stitches, as well as all the usual construction stitches (zig zags, darning, zipper insertion). Your stitch settings are automatically set each time although you can override the settings to meet your current application.This machine also has some wonderful features like a built-in needle threader (simplifies getting the thread through that little hole); a 1-step buttonhole (that can make a whole row of buttonholes exactly the same) in 4 different styles; hand-look quilt stitch (looks as if the stitch line was done by hand); tacking stitch (useful at the start and end of stitching); mirror image selected stitches; 1 font with numerals, foreign letters, and punctuation; a temporary memory with continuous or single set sewing; a twin needle mode to automatically watch stitch width when using a twin needle; 6 most frequently used stitches are there at a touch of the button; you can lower the feed dogs to do darning, embroidery, free style quilting, and the like; adjustable foot pressure makes it easier to handle multiple layers of heavy weight fabric; and it has a fully adjustable needle position so you can get that line of top stitching exactly where you want it.
