Good value
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This sewing machine is probably the best value for under $100.
It is a very basic sewing machine, but it offers much more quality than similar placed brands. I am a doctor and I am modifying my white coat, so I wanted an intermediate level machine that will stand up to heavy fabrics. So far, it’s performance is solid and is very easy to use.
Pro: Value, very easy to use, good for into-intermediate users, good performance on heavy materials, comes with a soft case (hard case unneeded)
Cons: I don’t like the thread spool holder. I prefer the option to make the stand upright, so it is easier to tension. The foot has trouble advancing over bumps > 0.5cm; this can be problematic sewing over existing hems. When it gets stuck, the thread often breaks, so you have to remove the stitch and start over.
I recommend it to anybody not looking to embroider

Solid, simple, reliable machine
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This machine may not have all the stitches and options of machines costing twice as much, But this machine is easy to use and is solid. If you’re a beginner you may have some trouble with bunched thread and things like that until you learn the quirks of the machine. But once you do it will run reliably with no problems for as long as you need it.

This is a great little basic sewing machine for the money. Very easy to thread and very user friendly. Very impressed with Amazon’s fast service.
Ordered it one day and it was here the next even though I chose Super Saver shipping! I have always been pleased with Amazon.

Serviceable, useful sewing machine
Rating:3 out of 5 stars
This is a good all-purpose, low-cost household machine, although as a long-time Singer fan and former Singer sewing machine dealer, I don’t care for the vertical bobbin design. It is compact and comes with it’s own sturdy, attractive cover that allows you to carry the machine by its handle, so don’t bother ordering a hard-shell case for it. The free-arm and accessory compartment designs are carefully thought out.

Very good product

We purchased this Singer for my daughter. She’s been asking for a sewing machine for years (she’s 15). It was easy to thread, easy to understand, and easy to work. Even better, it’s quiet! Very good deal for the money.

Good, solid, easy to use machine.

Bought to replace a Brother machine that was difficult to use. Right out the box this was easy to use and set up. No problems at all. Since have used only once, reluctant to give 5 stars in case have issues later. If after a lot of use, this machine proves to be reliable, I would give it 5 stars.

Fair for the price

I purchased this a few months ago and been using it regularly. Occasionaly I get problems like the needle getting stuck or thread getting all messed under the fabric, sometimes frustrating. This sewing machine is for basic sewing only, it gives you problems once your fabric is thicker than one fold of it. I don’t think this model will provide long-term service.

“Sew” Easy to Use!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
This sewing machine is awesome for a basic sewing machine! Nothing is complicated. I am a true beginner and I have had no problems threading the machine or even winding a bobbin. The instruction manual is very easy to follow. It comes with many attachments and tools (that I don’t know how to use) so you actually can go beyond basics (like hemming pants in my case). The machine is very lightweight and comes with a nice case. The price is not at all expensive, especially if you catch it with super saver shipping (thanks, Amazon). The only “issue” if anything is the plastic foot pedal; it is very easy to start stitching really fast. I was used to a heavy metal one before…there is a difference, but that’s my issue, not the sewing machines.

This is a great machine for those who are learning sewing. I’ve never used a sewing machine before because I always thought they were too difficult to operate. I was able to start sewing within an hour after it came out of the box. It comes with everything you need to get started. I find it is a pretty sound machine and runs like a charm. I would recommend this product to a friend.
